Peter Aliss visit to Melrose
During a recent visit to the Melrose Book Festive our Club President and Captain were delighted to arrange a meeting with the Ryder Cup and commentator legend Mr Peter Aliss pictured opposite. During a break from presenting his latest book Mr Aliss caught up with David Campbell and Robin Chisholm who presented him with a copy of David A. MacKenzie’s, “A History of Melrose Golf Club”
Online Competition Booking System
Following the success of the introduction of our competition start sheet on Master Scoreboard, we also introduced an online booking system for entries into our competitions. I can confirm this will continue this season where you will be able to enter our gent’s competitions online as well as at the clubhouse. Online entry can be accessed from any computer, tablet or mobile phone that has internet connection by visiting our home page on Melrose Master Scoreboard, and following the booking tab for future competitions. Online booking is available two weeks in advance of each competition start date and closes 9pm two days prior to start of competition. Clubhouse booking is also still available but we will no longer be using the paper entry previously pinned to the locker room noticeboard, now we will access the same online area using our touchscreen monitor situated in the bar. Full instructions are posted next to the monitor; a copy can be viewed by clicking here. Members can still confirm their start times by visiting our Start Sheet on Melrose Master Scoreboard which will be posted one day prior to competition start date each week to confirm your drawn competition tee times.
We also continue with the Away Score Entry Form below, which allows our members to easily confirm the recording of away scores.
